I found myself, eyes down, looking to the ground. Back in London and maybe it was a change in material or my mood but my eyes kept on picking out curiosities while I walked.
Slightly off, not quite perfect, but still I think these all fit under the category of Geometrical, in that they are concerned with shape, size and properties of space.
All perfect in there non perfect state.
The person who laid these slabs making an effort to cut each shape to minimise breakage through time, wear and pressure over uneven ground.
On my return to Berlin my eyes tuned in with floor space, I found some magnificent road works going on. There will be a video to follow soon, as these Berlin road workers were champions of their process, they filled the beautiful carved out spaces in quite a hypnotic fashion.
Eyes really tuned in I have spent the week hungrily looking for more odd pattern and now I am not sure that these can be in the taxonomy of Geometry.
Or if I need to start a new ordering under broken pattern.
