A painting inspired by the masks worn during the famous Venetian Carnival, although, as you can tell, it's much more abstract and twisted. I couldn't think of a better title, but it's obvious why I put the quotation marks around the first word, since it's very different from those masks.
I made this painting to symbolize the different and sometimes conflicting sides of one's personality and mind. It is also a paradox because, when masks are usually used to hide a man's face/true nature, this mask manages to show the inner self of a person. Such, it is a "true mask" or "honest mask", if you will, hehe ;)
