The sea is a special listener, patient, understanding, sympathetic, attentive. Of course, it is not always in the mood for quiet conversations, and sometimes the noise of its energy in the form of huge waves rolling ashore can rudely interrupt you if you are looking for peace.
But every sea has quiet places, secluded coves, in which it does not show its fury and pressure, but keeps its best qualities of a sage. Here you can share your innermost, or chat about trifles, or tell about your grief, or maybe throw out anger, which will turn into a grain of sand against the background of its sizes and allow you to breathe easier. In any case, we are used to the fact that the sea only listens to us, and its response is the receiving silence.
Although I think that sometimes imperceptibly and modestly it tries to tell us its own stories. How? There is different ways... you can catch words in the roar of the waves, or hear a voice in the sea breeze, or see images on the crest of a wave. Or maybe it will start painting pictures right under your feet…
And the sea will tell you about favorite place on its shore. About an untouched forest of gigantic trees, hidden from the whole world, accessible only to the waves of the sea. Or is it just its dream, and the sea has heard that such huge trees grow on the shores of the southern seas, but here only lichens and moss.
Maybe it will start talking about its friends rivers, and draw images of their flexible bodies. Pieces of their deltas, trajectories and routes by which they carry their waters into the sea and become part of it.
Or it will remind you of its longevity, in the form of a continuous stream of time, which sometimes breaks into significant events in the form of global cataclysms that change the appearance of continents and giants like this sea.
Another time you may notice a pattern of the sky studded with stars. Maybe earlier they really huddled on it so tightly, and the light from the cities did not prevent the sea from looking at them and arguing about what is more in the universe- grains of sand on its shore, or these flaming clumps of gas in the sky.
These traceries can add up to thousands of different stories. About various phenomena, epochs, places and events. Maybe some of them are even about the future, who can comprehend the wisdom and possibilities of this mysterious and so familiar entity as the sea. But I think it's not so important understand its language, I think it just likes to draw sometimes...
