music - three tune tuesday

so i have been active on hive since just about inception.... mainly talking to myself to be fair...but content nonetheless. so yesterday i received a suggestion from @mipiano to utilise 'communities' and she guided me towards a community list provided by @erikah, along with a neat explanation of the reasons for communities (i was surprised to learn i was putting my dirty socks in the fridge and my beers in the shower!!! for years now)

so i meandered over to my first love c:/music and the first post i came across was this one by @kenechukwu97 which i thoroughly enjoyed and it inspired me to do a 'three tune tuesday' post ...

one of the artists @kenechukwu97 featured was eminem ... and this of course led me to recall an artist i discovered through his music..

i first heard her in eminem's massive hit stan released in 2000... where if i am not mistaken this song sprang from??

let me try another one... three girls makes sense to me and perhaps they will all sound the same... quiet with a little sad moji in the middle

so in the same vein i would like to share a woman with the community who had a near perfect debut album in the mid-1980's. who has never listened to sade's debut album 'smooth operator' ... man, a classic to my mind.

as i am partial to women ... no excuses made ... we shall close with another superstar lady (doubt the term lady is often associated with her ) who departed this mortal plain too soon by decades ...

now this is more my style although there is definitely a place in my vinyl collection of the featured ladies above. i also accept that if you are not familiar with JJ this particular track may not encourage one to explore her more.... but please do.. you will be smitten.
