666 is supposedly the mark of the beast...and dear reader I am certainly having a beast of a time of it right now. Six years since I last ran, six kilograms heavier and six years older.... woe is me!!
Having started cardio training after a long layoff due to injury I am finding it absolutely tedious... battling up a long climb this morning this old friend appeared back in my head...Dig down deep...I'm going to dig down deep ...this song was always my mantra when climbing hills, on bike or running, helping me maintain the effort and pace.
This morning was 5 km's and involved a lot of 'cross country', loose sand and water hops. These runs also double as our dogs morning walk.... so the poor pooch has a run as well. This was taken this morning
Entering the garden I did my usual collapse (prior to stretching) ... and Bozo just came and collapsed next to me... ribs rising and falling like pistons in a high revving car. I know how he felt... I must mention the temperature was in excess of 80 degrees Fahrenheit at the time.
Chariots of Fire Cover by Francesco Parrino ... rather apt I say.
Since following @mipiano I have found a renewed love for keyboards... and now it is an almost daily occurrence that my daughter and I share 'discovered' artists. Not surprisingly this young man was 'discovered' by my daughter {raises eyes skywards .... grins }
My stepson contracted Covid last weekend while my good lady was away ... so I have been in isolation for a week .. all our christmas festivities over the weekend all cancelled. Me personally I am a happy chappy ... hobnobbing with people we see once a year always makes me drink too much {grin} .... is called coping mechanism
*Ace of Base - All That She Wants#
And yes, that song has nothing to do with anything ..... just a bit of a nothing song with no message... just tap your feet.
