If one pays attention to the veins in leaves, they can look similarly to the trees on which they grow: a thick vein in the middle, like the trunk of a tree, then successively smaller branches forking-off this-way-and-that. It is like the tree, itself, has imprinted a self-portrait onto the leaf. A tree selfie!

Of course, proponents of philosophy and metaphysics will recognize the "As above, so below" Hermetic Principle of Correspondence at work here.
