He probably 'learned' that technique from Facebook and a gazillion other social media sites where such 'trolling' (as it is called) practices are rampant. Trolls love to debate, and regardless of what position you take, they attack you and make you look like a total fool. They carefully contrive what seems like simple questions to bait people into their trap. In my humble opinion, life is too short for bullshit sociopathic mind games like trolling. But, hey, I'm glad you feel you learned something from the guy's class.
