I think this is a quite lovely barn! It is located on Cedar Rock Church Road, not far from Cedar Rock Baptist Church, which gives the road its name. There is a small mountain nearby which is only 1371 ft (418 m) high [1] called Cedar Rock Mountain, from which this area derives its name. The mountain has some cedar trees on it as well as a large outcropping of granite on one side, thus: Cedar Rock!
Oddly enough, only 11 miles (18 km) from this Cedar Rock Mountain is another mountain, slightly taller, with the exact same name. One would think a different name could have been devised for one of them... LOL!
The particular Cedar Rock Mountain that is closest to this barn was also mentioned when I posted OLD BARN β 077, which is at the base of the granite outcropping at the foot of the mountain. Barn 077 is actually on a homestead that is on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).
This barn features a quite generously sized drive bay in the middle with a hay door above it for loading the hay loft. So, it's rather simple, but I think it is a lovely structure with the rusted roof on top! Beautifully weathered wood is always nice to see on these old buildings.
When this barn was in its prime and being used daily, I doubt there were so many trees around it. This photo was taken in April of 2010, and so many trees have grown up since that the barn is no longer visible from the roadway, as I learned on a recent visit. I couldn't remember exactly where the barn was located, so I drove down the road again and didn't see it, but the "Street View" on GoogleMapsβ’ once again came to the rescue when I looked at the archive of the area from 2008 and 2012! So, apparently, my timing of making the photo was fortuitous.
The following map pinpoints the location. The dotted line on the map shows my viewpoint towards the barn from where I stopped along the road.

And, for @bigtom13 and others who like seeing my original photos, here it is:
And, funny thingΒ β later in my Old Barn Project, I will be posting barns near the other Cedar Rock Mountain, and there is a barn at the foot of that mountain, too! π
