I have a DOUBLE DIGITS in the house. He had been waiting for it as he thought and still thinks, once he is 10, he is a teen.
Not there yet, babe. Not quite there. No need to rush it. Enjoy your childhood as much as you can. Be my little one still. Teen life can wait. No need to rush it.
Stay funny, stay smart, stay goofy, stay kind, with a tiny sprinkled naughtiness, just tiny, please.
Once that teenager door is open, you have to embrace acnes, braces, harder Math, unwanted hair growth, not to mention the possibility of a crush turned down your proposal to the school dance.
You will start opening your eyes even more, that life ain't always gonna be easy. Unlike when you were still a youngun, where to be reminded to brush your teeth, wash your hands, do your homework, and finish your meals were the only things that annoyed you.
Just enjoy your childhood, as much as you can....
And keep stepping on those scattered Lego pieces of yours, whenever you feel like you just cannot darn wait for teenage years and adulthood. A little practice at a time, til you get there.
