Greetings everyone,
So last week was a good week for me, since I was able to get 11/18 wins with my card draw magic deck. However, usually card draw matches need a good amount of type since you'll be slowly chipping your opponent HP away and drawing at the same time which will need a good amount of turns to finish the game with.
So I decided to try and save up time this week, by playing a faster more aggro deck that also works and can get me a decent amount of wins. So the cheapest options were either aggro war, which is one of if not the best god at the moment, or aggro light which both of them can have a cheap deck that works.
But I decided to go with light since I was a bit more familiar with it because it was not so long ago that I tried it, and also I had all the cards already available for it and not need to buy anything. And it went pretty decent and I got 10 wins so I want to share this deck with everyone:
The Deck
The cool part about this deck is that it costs around 48$ which is pretty cheap, and also works pretty well even in the highest rank! And most of its card are core cards which are pretty available more than others and players can make it just from the gods they earned from the game! My friends even reached top 2 once just from playing this deck!
Expensive additions for the deck!
Now in case you're someone who likes to spend on the game, or already have the expensive cards, here are some great but expensive additions that fits very well in this deck and take it to the next level!
Pyramid Warden
Now of course this card can be a great addition for this aggro deck because it can set you up to a really good start if played in the beginning, which can help you set up a good board control which is pretty much all you need with aggro light!
Highborn Knight
Now of course this card does not need much commenting on it! 3/3 with protected and ward is a huge menace by itself let alone buffing it with the huge amount of buffs you have in this deck! Definitely a great addition!
Marrtyr and Blade of whiteplain
Both these cards can be a great addition, each serving their own purposes whether its removing annoying creatures, drawing card or helping with board control! Whichever one you have just throw it in even with aggro light!
Lysander's Spear
Now this card is usually used with control light, but with aggro it is kind of a coin flip. It slows the tempo for you a little bit which is not something you want and if it got removed you're in a bit of a problem. Whoever, if it was not remove it can set you up to dominate the game and get a strong creature almost every turn which is game changing. This depends on your preference to add or not!
Tips against some matchups
After playing this deck for a while now and against different matchups, I learned that there are some matchups where it is important to have some specific cards as soon as you can and for a specific purpose so I will be sharing this with you to help you more!
Protective Benediction or Chaining of the gods versus aggro deception
It is important to have one of these cards early on against aggro deception for different reasons: The first can help you get several frontlines with protected in the face of your enemy, which is a huge menace for aggro deception since they won't be able to hit face and hide their creatures! The latter can help you remove a strong hidden creature with the give -3/-2 if your opponent relied on strenghtening 1 creature and hitting for a big amount of damage!
Vesper of Concession against aggro war
Most of the times war can put up a certain type of relic, which most of them does not have a big durability. In this case, playing vesper can remove your opponent relic and also the protected on your creature makes it a bit tricky to kill especially if played early on which can also make you buff it to help remove some enemy creatures!
Thaeric Extortionist against Heirloom Death, Nature and aggro Light!
Now the reason why this card is really good to have early on differs between the decks:
Against Heirloom: It is really good to be used on Princess of Takhat which will obliterate her and not make her go to the void which is huge!
Against Nature and Light: It can help get board control since most of the early game creatures for these 2 decks have 1 or 2 strenght!
Mace of Calling against aggro matchups!
Having the Mace early on against aggro matchups can set you up to a really good start and help build your board since you will have a clear without the need of killing your own creatures. Excepet against aggro deception since you will not have a target to swing at most of the times!
Final thoughts
This deck really works like magic to me, and also most matches does not need a lot of times to be finished! I finished all of my 18 games in only about 2 hours which ia pretty fast compared to my card draw which needed about 3 to 4 hours to finish them all! Also the good part about this deck is that its so cheap so I advise everyone who wants to speed up his games to try it out and see how it goes!
That was it for this one, in case you have any questions or help about the deck be sure to let me know in the comments, and I would also welcome any remarks or maybe improvements to it and be sure to drop a follow if you like my posts I would really appreicate it!
I hope everyone had a good last Winter Wanderland weekend and which you all got the wins for the packs you wanted and I will see you on the next one!
Mad Love, Peace out <3
