The Inkwell has a rule about rape, but there are many kinds of rape. There is the rape of the spirit, the rape of independence. Then there is the violation that occurs in a woman's life, many times, as she is subject to the intrusive stares and comments of men who do not understand that their behavior is abusive.

This is a great story. You do develop scene beautifully. We can hear the noises in the cafe, smell the aromas. We can see the people, the girl 'wet'. The subtlety of your character portrayal is exquisite. Great story. There is one proofing mistake in this beautiful story: a missing period in the first paragraph. Pointing it now out so the story can indeed be perfect.
