It's great that you feel the time is right to return to the post to this community again, and there's no need to explain yourself.
The beauty of the Blockchain is that there is a wide array of communities to choose from.

There's no entitlement where any author is concerned from any community on the Blockchain; Each post gets the merit it deserves.

Re: your story - there is no surprise that those memories of the relationship you had with the lady linger with you. It's great that you were able to fulfil the agreement by remaining friends and helping her through a difficult time without jeopardising your family.
