All's Well That Ends Well. That is the title of a play by William Shakespeare and it might be aptly applied to this story. There are characters in this narrative who do not behave well. They fall prey to human weakness. In a way, this makes your story more relatable, because few of your readers lead perfect lives. However, there are characters who behave well, who do the right thing. One of those characters, Andrew, is able to save his sister because he behaves well.

As rayt2@rayt2 comments, you paint a broad canvas. There is so much going on here that you could probably write a much longer piece with this material. However, you do take us through the different turns in fortune and we are able to follow the characters. You have a great imagination and obviously enjoy writing.

There is appropriate application of the prompt and you create a good arc.
