Stories for The Ink Well must be a minimum of 350 words. Additionally, we ask that writers do not use stories published in The Ink Well as a platform to teach lessons. Storytelling is for pleasure and entertainment. We are looking for interesting, well-developed characters, detailed settings, conflicts, story arcs, and dialogue between characters.
