Updates on self-funded project "Hive Inbox / hReplier"
Giphy approved
- Giphy has approved the request & our App is now in production mode.
- Giphy dashboard now shows analytics of usage, clearly indicating the usage of the app.
Something went wrong?
@bhattg shared a screenshot & reported that he is facing an issue.
- We looked into the issue & fixed the bug today.
- Issue is fixed however, it isn't shipped yet.
- We'll roll out a new release with set of bug fixes & improvements soon.
Percentages Twice? % %
- As shown in the screenshot above, percentage is shown twice.
- This bug went to production 🙈 🤷
- After trying the app from production, we noticed this.
- We've identified & fixed this issue.
- We'll ship this bug-fix in next release.
No Apple ! We don't.
- hReplies app is not using any Non-Exempt Encryption
- So, we updated the flag to false as indicated in the screenshot below.
- With this, we'll be able to upload & process TestFlight builds faster
It's infinite spinning red indicator

- For him, it either tooks to long or loading never ends.
- Now, We've implemented time-out on all API calls.
- With this, after 15 seconds, in case of failure/time-out, user will see try-again screen.
Time to work on Known bugs
- ✅ Infinite loading indicator
- Sometimes users get this infinite loading indicator. We've added time out for this & we'll ship a new bug-fix release soon.
- ✅ Filter for Outgoing / Incoming Replies
- Users have requested for adding filters for incoming & outgoing replies.
- We'll take this feedback & improve app soon.
- ✅ When it's at 0%
- When slider is at 0%, only broadcast comment & not vote.
- ✅ % is shown 2 times
- % sign is shown 2 times above vote slider - need to fix it.
- HiveSigner
- Add support for HiveSigner based login
- Settings - Default Vote
- In settings, add a default vote weight

- Support for more languages
What's Next?
- ✅ Now, we'll work on front-end.
- ✅ We'll create a separate branch for iOS app.
- ✅ These changes will be mostly related to AppStore submission.
- ✅ Once changes are done on front-end, we'll do thorough testing.
- ✅ After testing, we're aiming to ship it to AppStore next week. Wish us luck.

Rewarding Hive Content Creators
- I support several contests hosted by different communities.
- I reward them with Hive-Power-up for the contribution that they have made on communities on Hive.
- We keep transferring portion of hive power to different users on Hive for encouraging them for their contribution on Hive.
- Those who respond to our replies, we also reward them with different tokens like PIZZA, BEER
- No Hive power ups were sent today.
