Starting fresh

Back a while ago I had quite a few cards at levels up to 7 for a lot of them, but I stopped playing and sold them off over time. I do regret doing so but I needed to use the STEEM at the time. So it is hard to work the collection up again, starting with one type of deck and some neutrals, to now getting to a second type and additional neutrals for use. At a low rank with level 2 summoners and max level 2 cards (with the odd level 3 or 4), the grind is slower, but well worth it for what @steemmonsters have done!

The dark energy crystals (DEC) as well as steem engine being released has really changed up the worth of tokens along with the possibility of high growth for the token and the holders and the reason I have chucked a bit of STEEM to get those starting cards and work on the daily quests to help out. Having win streak add more gain from wins, while adding certain cards to increase the DEC gain boosts your need for wins if you want to get them for free, without having to buy lots on the steem engine marketplace.

I did buy one orb which I opened, without taking the screenshot of the cards I got, but have one to show the 5 I got. Nothing really special besides the undead archer being a cool addition.

I think what I will do with the newly added shop, where you can spend your crystals on orbs or potions, I shall get either a potion to increase gold card drop rate, or the mystery card drop and boost my collection sooner. Just need to keep winning, collecting and grow again.

Overall I feel the work put in to bring such an amazing update, and me back to the game, has really boosted the value of playing Steem Monsters for anyone that enjoys or would enjoy it and I I recommend it, like I would to people when I played a while ago.
