Wow, now that is something I never knew before. Everyone always says the last bitcoin will be mined in 2140 and it will be that 21 millionth one.
THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!
The protocol is asymptotic, meaning that it is designed in such a way that 21 million will NEVER be reached!
It IS true that in 2141 no more bitcoin will be issued.
The more I learn about Bitcoin, the more excited I get.
My grand daughter will NEVER have a bank account, she will NEVER use paper money. WOW!
