I've just got home after a pretty long blablacar ride from Poland to Germany (10 hours), followed by another hour spent on the train, which was on time, luckily! This might be surprising to those of you who don't live in Germany, but trains are often late here...not so well organized after all!
I was lucky again with blabla, as the driver lives super close to my boyfriend's house, so I saved some time there. And he was a nice guy, with lots of stories to tell, great film recommendations, and some controversial opinions that made for good conversation topics. The other girl who was traveling with us knew a lot of curious facts on a variety of topics and that kept the conversation going. At least for them, because my Polish is not good enough to talk about more complicated topics, but at least I could understand almost everything they were saying.
Emptying my suitcases always makes me think of home...Living alone in a foreign country is not easy and I miss the comfort of my home especially in winter when it's grey and rainy. The sun is like a battery charger for me! Missing these two cuties right now:
Quick tip for those of you who travel often with blablacar, or with any other form of car-sharing (especially for girls who might be afraid of traveling alone): TAKE A PICTURE OF THE DRIVER'S LICENCE AND OF THE LICENCE PLATE. And send them to your mum, or your boyfriend, or a friend.
I don't think the driver will have anything against it if you explain why you are doing it, you can always delete the photos as soon as the trip is over, and if anything happens, you're covered ;)
Sweet dreams,
B.
