Let me first say that this story about a post from 4Chan needs to be taken with a grain of salt. Due to the nature of the anonymous 4Chan boards we have no proof that the post is real or if the poster is who they say they are, they could just be a LARPer?
If the post is to be believed then Google and their AI Bot engineering department, more specifically the "Consensus Cracking" group has developed AI Bots at the request of Twitter for deployment into their platform with the intentions of steering discourse along political lines that the Twitter upper echelon deems important!
If this is true we have entered a new war and that war is in FULL SWING!
Just imagine a fully developed AI Bot that can carry on 1,000 or 5,000 (or way more) conversations simultaneously, while arguing a point of view that is in opposition to the majority of the public's opinion.
Now, take it one step further, and imagine that there are thousands of these AI Bots deployed across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Discord, Twitter, GAB, ect., ect. The mere existence of these bots can create a narrative that is in direct opposition to the publics point of view. If you (we) are overwhelmed and believe our views to be in the minority, wouldn't you agree that you are less likely to promote your views and argue their merits?
