I don’t think anybody starts from the middle. Programming is difficult. If you start from HTML, CSS… you will get stuck when you learn your first programming language. If you go from Js, to HTML, to CSS. It’s easier because the difficult part is already tackled

Dom manipulation is an advanced topic in JavaScript and people struggle with it because they don't even understand how variables work
