A fine morning, so we decided to get our day off to a good start with a walk down by the canal. There were some fine feathered friends there, in the form of swans and mallard🦆 ducks. Swans are a protected species in Ireland, and feature in one of the most famous tales in Irish mythology, “The Children of Lir”
There were only two at Lecarrow harbour though, not like in the story.
Randomly, there was a food truck there, theSaltProject.ie as they meander their way across Ireland, with a different menu based on local produce wherever they stop. So obviously herself & myself had to try something, and it was absolutely delicious!
