Whatâs up Steemit, today Iâm going to continue with my stupidity buys in the form of 40% Kennedy half dollars.
Iâm sure most of you hardcore stackers own some of these after all...theyâre silver right?! For me these are the biggest waste when buying silver for stacking.
Donât get me wrong, when I was a newb Stacker I got excited when I found one of these in my change or got one at a bank buuuuut thatâs about the end of the excitement with these.
I own about 2 rolls of these and yes not all came from finding or getting them at face value. About half of these were bought at meltđŠđŠđŠ.
These pieces in my opinion are to say the least lame as well as a drain on space in my stack. Theyâre 40% silver which is good and every ounce counts but they most definitely look better in YOUR stack than they do mine.
Truth is, the coin shops donât like them and they wonât give you anywhere near spot for them. I look at Craigâs List a lot too and these just hang out on the list at spot.
Itâs funny, people complain about odd weights in Poured silver but I never really hear one word about adding up 32 or 69 of these bad boys....yes bad as in not good.
When trying to be strategic for stacking long term my advice is too stay away from these unless you can get them for nothing because thatâs what youâre going to get apon cashing them in. As I stated yesterday, this is only my opinion, if your sitting on a cashe of these and think you have something, congratulations! For me, they have no place in my stacking goals. Thanks for looking today, I appreciate it and will see yâall tomorrowâđ»
