What’s up Steemit. Today I’m going to show you a piece that I got from AG Ender on YouTube. He ask me if I wanted to trade long ago and what I wanted and I told him that it’d be cool if I could get me little bear stamp in wood so that’s what I got.
I can’t remember what wood this was poured into or if it’s a first or second. But he actually.....Red Wood!!!! I just thought of it😂😃😁. He did pick up the shape pretty well, but there’s not much “gator” to this piece.
However, the texture he did get makes the piece look like it has fur as you can see and the back of the piece is pretty smooth. He uses a technique we have dubbed “Endering it” by covering it with a coffee can as it’s cooling. I’ve tried this technique a few times in wood and clay and it doesn’t work for me.
This piece is weighing in at a 6.2 Troy ounce and I believe when he poured this it was the largest pour to date for him, He’s a whip and dish kinda guy. So 6+ ozs is a lot when you’re melting with mapp gas. So there you have it ladies and gents, another dope piece poured by the community.
