I have made some freedom of information requests about the make up of Social Services. Not just the social workers that invade the privacy of peoples homes, but the managers who send them there. There are decisions being made at higher levels of Social Services that are still ignoring the plight of working class kids. They are then lying about and downplaying the tragedies they cause.
As I've said before, i will state upfront that i have been in the care system so probably have some bias. I realize that social services in the UK must save some lives and relieve suffering. What really concerns me is their continuing failures in relation to one community, the working class and poor. My mission is to continue to dig and to highlight the failure and continued failure to protect one group of kids.

Grooming gangs have come to the attention of the public despite the authorities trying to at first deny it was happening and then trying to blame the kids and their families.
There has been a concerted campaign to keep the true extent of these abuse gangs away from the public eye. There is still an effort to also downplay social services role in this scandal. This is the biggest scandal to happen in social services. Most people are aware of Rotherham and Telford but most are unaware that this has happened in over 50 towns and cities across the UK and is still happening now.
There are thousands of victims and thousands of perpetrators. The true scale of the problem is still being hidden by social services and the government, assisted by a compliant media. They still can't call them what they are, religious grooming gangs, instead the media has come up with all manner of disingenuous names. "Asian grooming gang", or "Predominantly Pakistani gang" are a couple. In my area they were Somalian and kids!!
This post isn't about the perpetrators of these vile crimes, but to question why social services are hiding it?

No One Listening
For years, certain social workers were highlighting their concerns along with families and children. However, judgemental and patronising views were taken of the working class families that were involved and police, social services and councillors turned a blind eye and blamed the victims for their own abuse!!
Their view happened to coincide with that of the abusers, voiced in court proceedings. That the girls were "slags" and that their families bought them up like this. " It Was Their Own Fault"!! So the abuse continued unchallenged. It's my view (this could never be proved) that the Labour party, who control most of the councils where abuse occurred, have many councilors and voters from the communities from which the perpetrators came. Most of these councils have already admitted that PC Culture probably contributed to this abuse not being stopped. Not wanting to "upset" certain communities sensibilities. It's horrific!!

Poverty and Politics rendered our children vulnerable. Some of these kids were as young as 11!! Unless we demand a proper enquiry and a restructuring of social services this will continue and even get worse. The working class have their part to play. We need to get our voices heard and demand change. These kids were abused by religious fanatics who use the same ideology to justify their sick crimes as ISIS use to enslave and abuse Yazidi women and kids. Incidentally, equally worrying is the fact that they believe their ideology allows them to do this to the people they have conquered. Is that how they see the area's that they live??
This isn't a lone incident. It's an epidemic across the country.
Social services are there to protect children first and foremost. They seem to spend alot of time in working class communities telling them how they should live their life, often by ideological liberals. If they spent the same amount of time, energy and tax pounds on combating this widespread abuse that is occurring in our communities it would cease!!
The facts of the matter is that the working class families told you what was happening, some social workers told you what was happening, yet they chose not to listen.
This all comes down to the patronizing belief that working class communities need to be "managed"in some way. That their children are expendible. While they are in denial about the problem they have no chance of challenging and stopping it.
In the past, the working class community would stop these attacks themselves but they have been warned violence has no place in the community and maybe it doesn't? But if you are going to take away the right to defend ourselves using violence, then you should be responsible for protection. That protection isn't there, as evidenced by these gangs.
We are still waiting for a serious enquiry into institutional abuse perpetrated against working class boys over the last 40 years. What hope is there of any real investigation of the "grooming gangs" who have blighted our communities in recent years.
We need to get these stories out there and educate people. If they don't want to listen then tell them again, until they do listen. Until people realize that this is a serious problem in certain religious communities.
Until it's named correctly and acknowledged then no work can begin on challenging and stopping it.
