Doors are shut!
Unlike her mouth?
She's threatened,
Not to utter a word.
Her marks and wounds,
Turn deeper and deeper every day.
She still continues to work silently, bearing all pestering.
She wears a mask of her smile hiding all her pain.
Her eyes cry out her story of agony
That we aren't aware of....
The whole country is under lockdown and we all are busy with ourselves, but somewhere we aren't aware of a crime which is happening around us where most of the married women are victims, trapped with no escape.
They are abused mentally and physically and still remain silent every single day, it's not okay let's stand up and raise awareness for this atleast now.
I came up with this concept last year, during the previous lockdown. Since the news about domestic violence and marital rape was a concern as an artist I thought it was very much important for me to speak about this and atleast give a small sense of awareness to people. This work of mine always remains close to my heart, I personally felt there was a need to be vocal about this particular issue, and art was one thing that I could use to connect with people. It's important to bring that comfort zone for people to let it out. conveying a message through this one thing can bring a small difference may be and I thought I could take that step through my ideation.
Special credits to Aaron Patrao who helped me out a lot to come up with this concept.
Here are the pictures from this work , also I wanted to keep it like a photo story
