Many school districts that plan on returning to in-person instruction after a brief switch to online rarely make that deadline. Add flu season into the mix and I can see things dragging on until spring at least. Very difficult for parents to help with online instruction as well. Young kids can barely spell or write but are expected to use a computer to do lessons. Not going to happen without a ton of support from home. I suspect the detrimental impact to be long-lasting for so many people.
