School is not always what it is cracked up to be and not everyone who does well in school does well in their career (and vice-versa). What frustrates me sometimes is the lack of being able to fail.

It is all but impossible to fail until you get into high school as they just pass everyone along to the next grade based on age. Then in high school, it isn't much different, as it looks bad if a school has a high failure rate. But by removing that chance of failure does not prepare kids for life where they will probably fail many, many times.

Many teachers can't even give zeros as there is a floor to how low they can grade, which just means you have thousands of kids who pass high school that struggle even worse when they are on their own. I understand that not everyone will excel in everything. No different than telling a 100 lb 5 foot 2 adult that they probably won't be very successful as a basketball player. I don't know what the answer is, but there needs to be a change in the education system.
