I come before your throne, as usual,
To say "This is my last"
And this time, the horned one laughs hysterically.
This time, I'm lost,
Devoid of happiness,
Despair looks me in the eye everywhere I go.
Blackness lies inside of me,
Thick gooey blackness,
Not a shade lighter.
Depression peaks from the window,
I feel of desperation,
The stench of death comes closer,
My oh my!
Hands shoot out to grab me,
Someone cackles beside me,
Who?
White wings and a beautiful face.
Is this an angel?
Is this the devil?
Such breathtaking harmony comes out as he opens his mouth and I marvel
There's no up or down,
No left or right.
But I want to go up!
Slash!
A whip cuts across my back
Blood gushing out and a sense of relief following suit
Am I in heaven or hell?
Or am I just inbetween?
In the blackness, I gradually see some grey
I hear wings are fluttering,
Metal clanging,
People conversing in a foreign, yet archaic language.
Suddenly, a loud shriek is heard and nothing more.
A hand is plunged through the darkness
I hesitate,
Once bitten, twice shy.
Fool me once, shame on you,
But fool me twice, I can't deal with the shame.
A face full of tears comes to my front
I start to cry.
I look at myself as I have been battered
But I see worse markings on he who came to save me
"Thank you" is all I could mutter as I was taken out of the darkness.
"Who are you?" I asked
"Just know that I'm a friend" he says with a smile
"A friend that loves you beyond anything you can think of"
