May be not. It seems that that spot is already filled by Ethereum and that the new challenger that Bitcoin will face is going to be Ethereum and not Ripple
But Ripple has its own market and is a very good investment. In a period of 6 months, it's price is going to touch $20 if not not more.
So if you are planning to make good cash in a relatively short period of time then Ripple is an ideal coin but if you think that it's gonna beat the lights of Ethereum and Bitcoin, then my friend its a big NO.
