My first HiveFest was pretty cool. I ran into @steevc as soon as I got there. It was nice talking with him a bit via microphone. We've chatted several times online but never with voice.
I also ran into @thelogicaldude I didn't get a picture though and I messaged
@pixiepost in the auditorium to say hello.
It was pretty cool watching the presentations and seeing what everyone is working on with the Hive blockchain. I caught the @risingstargame presentation which I found really interesting and
@detlev did a great presentation on the BEER token and his beer community. Those were the two presentations that really stuck out for me.
I took a selfie in the auditorium before I got my badge. Thanks to @steevc for giving me a little help getting used to using the game and getting around the virtual world. It wasn't that hard to figure out, but it did take a minute to get acclimated.
With that said, if anyone messaged me or sent me a friend request it took me a minute to figure all that out. I wasn't ignoring anyone, I just didn't know how to check my messages right away. 馃ぃ
I was a little bummed I missed the @LeoFinance presentation. I got there late and may have missed it. Looking at the schedule, I thought I would have caught it.
This is me in the NFT art gallery after I figured out how to get my badge. It was really cool seeing all the featured NFT artwork in the gallery. Here are a few I really liked.
I haven't used a VR world in a really long time. The last time I did anything metaverse it was playing Redlight District several years ago. It was basically an adult Second Life style game. I found the interface on AltSpaceVR much simpler to get around.
On a side note I've been watching Decentraland closely but just wasn't impressed with the interface. It seems really buggy and glitchy IMHO. At least I never had a smooth user experience with it.
I've also taken a liking to Blocktopia and have started stacking BLOK. There's a lot going on in with both the token and metaverse there.
So far AltSpaceVR has been the easiest metaverse space to use. The graphics loaded smoothly. The UI was very intuitive. I think it was a great selection by the @HiveFest team choosing that venue.
I'm really looking forward to day 2 of HiveFest. If you see me, please drop a friend request or send me a message. There were a lot of people I was hoping to see that I didn't... Maybe tomorrow.
