I discovered a new Hive game the other day!
Human History is a brand new browser-based RPG. The game is still in closed alpha, so once you sign up for an account you'll have to jump into the Human History Game Discord to get your account approved and ready to play.
Once you're approved, your goal is to survive as long as you can. Your character will have basic needs to keep up like hunger, health and morale, and you'll gain experience toward leveling up to increase your character's power. I haven't died yet, but apparently there will be severe penalties when your character dies...

You can currently work one of 4 different jobs, go on dangerous hunts, and sell loot to the shop (to npc) or the market (to players) in order to gain "nuggets". These nuggets are used for many of the in-game purchases like better equipment or housing, and are also exchangeable for HistoryCoins (HISTC) on Hive Engine. Gems are a premium currency that you'll need to purchase for HISTC in-game, and will allow you to speed up tasks, unlock extra inventory slots, and more.
The tasks all take hours to complete, so it's currently a game that can be played mostly passively in an extra open tab while you're doing other things. I pretty much always have 3 or 4 open tabs on passive crypto games like this. 😅
An announcement was made yesterday that a big update was coming on Tuesday, and that the starter pack I received when I joined will soon cease to be offered to new players. That starter pack included a basic set of linen clothes, which I've replaced with with better, but also came with an item that will increase all my experience gains by 15% for two months!
If you want to grab one of these free starter packs for yourself, you'll want to sign up and get activated asap.
After playing for a few days, I've certainly got a positive opinion of the concept and where the game is going. @human-history is pretty active in the discord and if you've got any questions about the game, he's usually very quick to answer and approve accounts.
I'm excited to see the idea of clans and clan wars to get some interaction going between players, and plan to establish a clan of my own assuming that's how it all works. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what gets implemented and how it all works. Until then, I'll keep working away at the forge and hunting down valuable treasure to stack up some HISTC 😉
