Some museums are creating augmented reality exhibits to bring learning into the digital age. These museums have seen great success with their choice of cutting edge techology paired with classical museum tours.
The Detroit Institute of Arts was the first museum in the world to integrate 3D mapping and AR technology to enhance their exhibits. The Lumin tour won the 2017 MUSE gold award, and was also awarded $150,000 from The American Alliance of Museums Knight Foundation to expand the project.
The ArtScience Museum in Singapore features Tango in an interactive exhibit known as 'Into the Wild' where you play the role of a wildlife ranger. See animals in their natural habitat and defend the environment as you help restore the rainforests of Southeast Asia.
