Today was a lucky day, what with getting the only character I set out for in a game after several months of playing it. I mean, I lost my cool completely. The best part is the long wait finally came to an end. Concerning a lot of things, I feel the wait is over. My confidence in my ability and work doubled in the past year as well. Things just feel good because although not all is certain, one thing's for sure, I make myself happy. I was just in the shower when some thoughts about my next project struck me - or maybe it was the soap dish falling over for the third time. The other night, I completed segments of a video with a few gamer friends and got their honest opinions about my projects thus far. And tonight, I remembered a promise I made to myself and a friend - to remain consistent, as my lead web developer pushed through the final changes on a website we all anticipated with excitement.

I took part in a heated discussion today about
@gamenight's academic future. Things heated up over the dry chicken and tough, fried plantains. Though I thirsted for something refreshing, like one moment where I did not want to raise my voice at my parents or a glass of watermelonade, I kept my cool because I understood these different perspectives came from a desire for one of us to succeed. On that count, I could get loud- we all could. Dad did. Whether or not we define challenges differently, coming to America may be easy for some, while changing schools and repeating a year could really shake others; my family feels to me a lot like my friends do: many people just trying to get good and win the game. I think I finally got my game figured out, at least for now.
