The establishment of a local media center inspires hope in a wannabe writer/photog/reader. Nearly every item found a home, effectively redefining the room as a studio. Perspective made a molehill back into a mountain, environmental design created a Pokémon Center for a trainer. A conversation today made more sense of the money I spent incorrectly for years now. If I could remember one thing about how I spend; I couldn’t buy what I wanted because I already paid for other things- some of which didn’t add to the mission. As with the Gameboy SP, improvements within the design- the backlit screen-made playtime reach far into the night. Handheld games, cameras -any device you might like- to use things effectively, you only had to make it easy, the third rule of behavior change. See, even as I take photos and write, the ability to come this far laid with the case at which activities came. Habit stacking need not be an issue as it cost Diderot so long ago; the Perfection’s new home at a writing desk makes miracles happen.
This is about the GameCube, one of the best consoles of all time.
The attachment to the series of adventures known as Pocket Monsters so long ago blossomed early. Since then, petals to the flower fell away, and at times the spirit of adventure and training waned. It was easier to press the that funny key on the keyboard and win. Yet, I couldn’t shake the accomplishment and failure of battles with strategy and luck. The playtime of the past led to my hunger for achievement now. Still, I felt like I lost my way. Some dreams shattered. The remaining pieces littered about sparkled in the light, albeit fragments of its former whole. In short, those innocent ambitions to be the best. I collect to this day, one of the greatest commitments of all, the one to myself. Learning to use language from a literary place was just a method to properly communicate. Photography helped a faulty hippocampus and amnesia. Pokémon is a system designed, I find, to make practice- the individual’s journey- an experience we long for long after it ends.
I wonder what this new setup writes for my story.
