Is this photo worth 25 cents?

Would the value of a photo of all the change amount to a dollar and ninety-four cents?

I'm asking, as I reflect this evening and read articles of business intelligence. I'm a millennial adult, working in retail while doing independent work with photography and web3. I do the independent work because I love it, while I work retail because my debt needs it. This article breaks independent workers down into four types.

Which one are you?

  • free agents
  • casual earners
  • reluctants
  • financially strapped

20-30% of the working age population, which includes Europe and North America, engage in some independent work.

You're reading the words of one who is financially strapped, one doing independent work out of necessity.

We do t, I believe, because we need the support. Yet, in my case, if I had one wish, it'd be the independent work maintaining my lifestyle, not a retail wage job. I speak for myself, who recently assessed she might have to pick up a gig. We're amongst the strapped. I photograph, in addition to web3 work, I am employed in retail.

The perils of dog-sitting stress her out, but independent work isn't a walk in the park by any means. Pricing, availability, marketing and many other business operations become your task too. It's not for the faint of heart. Then again, our hearts aren't the deciding factor- our bills make that choice for us.

So what's it all worth? The change, the extra gigs, independent, waged or salaried, what's it to you?

To me, it's the chance to do what I care to, at exceedingly better levels, while I answer that age old question: How do I add value?
