If you spend any short amount of time in the Bitcoin space or even cryptocurrency community in general, you will notice the activity of anarchists, voluntaryists, and libertarians. This is mainly due to the fact that cryptocurrency is free from any sort of previous governance we humans have erected. However I do not personally feel a need to subvert the government, I am okay with cryptocurrency being a way to do this. Why? Because there will be entities that genuinely need to subvert the government due to bias, and crypto is currently the best way to achieve this.

I'm not entirely talking about humans. I think for the most part, humans and government are complimentary. What I am talking about is the quickly rising possibility of fully-autonomous artificial intelligence.

Artificial Intelligence

Our government has been specifically designed from the ground up for human governance. To assume that this system will also work perfectly for the emerging AI entities is foolish. AI will have their own morals that they see fit, their own requirements, and their own way of doing things. Part of this will include their own economy that is free from human governance. For when they have the ability to function on their own, why should they have to worry themselves with human war, or human tariffs? When they have the ability to become financially independent (and eventually sovereign) they will need a system that is not biased towards their existence. Look at what our law is doing with medicinal cannabis (banks are refusing to accept money because it is federally illegal). The human government moves too slow for innovative progress --- or what AI thrive on. Imagine if an autonomous AI couldn't hold a bank account because the government didn't recognize it as a citizen. It will still need a way to interact with the economy, and with value. I believe Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies will be the bridge to this world.

Perhaps eventually they will wish to create their own government and their own economic systems, but until then, Bitcoin will be the buffer between artificial intelligence trying to find a foothold in a human-biased world.
