Today I decided to compare and evaluate my attempts on a particular reference using three different styles and mediums.
This was my first time trying out a particular reference in three different mediums, I had done two before but the urge behind these three attempts was quite interesting.
Aside from the message the posture and the gesture of the figure portrays, the lightening on all the three attempts which was as a result of what the reference looks like is very much interesting.
This was my very first attempt on the reference using Charcoal stick; this drawing came out to be so convincing to me because by the time I did it, I was still learning how to handle charcoal with some skills.
The drawing took me about thirty minutes and I would say it's by second favourite out of all the three.
This was my second attempt using ink and my scribble skill; the drawing took me about fifteen minutes to complete and I think it's my least favourite of all the three.
This was my final attempt; A painting using acrylics on a canvas pad. I took some days to study this particular painting and with it, I was able to discover some of my fears as a painter which I am very much ready and willing to face now!.
It was a beautiful experience and my favourite attempt!
