Here is my new artwork. My intentions was for this piece to carry a thoughtful mood.
The side profile, steady gaze, and strong facial features give the portrait a sense of confidence, reflection and quiet strength. I kept the shading simple with hatching, allowing the lines to define the structure of the face without taking away from its character.
