I wrote this an hour ago sitting at a place I confront my demons alone. A place I go to hide from the chaos of my own house.

Insearch Of Solitude

Birds are chirping somewhere
Traffic is flowing to somewhere
The frogs are making their presence known
In the urban swamps that they've grown
Some crickets can also be heard trying the same
And a lizard is basking on a stone nearby
With it's head dancing in the midair
As everyone here is minding their own
I am here for the solitude.

The wetness in this space
Betray the aftermath of a morning rain
And the struggles of an afternoon sun
Trying to conquer it's pain.

There are some dark clouds forming
Threatening to thwart some Friday plans
And this chilly breeze cruising past
Is leaving behind a trail of goosebumps.

There are the soft thunders
A reminder to go back under bedcovers
A stiffened behind demanding a break
Before the arrival of a back ache.

There is the quiet in it all
The joy of being far from it all
Where the urban wind frees an imprisoned mind
A moment when a boxed soul feels freed.

There is the calmness of the thoughts
The couple of butterflies floating about
Visiting the wild flowers growing around
Defying the ground
In between what was left
By a violent corrupted history.
