I got to get back to the chain
I got to explain that real life has me in chains
I got to apologise once again
I got to try and share some unexplainable pain
I got to allow myself to bleed
I got to let some demons be freed
I got to talk about this amazing read
I got to let the spirit lead.

I wanna celebrate forty minus four
I wanna dance than ever before
I wanna leave my worries on the floor
I wanna find a way to simply soar
I wanna reminiscence on my noticable falls
I wanna embrace bringing down the walls
I wanna grip fear by it's fucking balls
I wanna crawl out of the darkness halls.

I have to sacrifice the self
I have to dust it from an unknown shelf
I have to familiarize it's strange with myself
I have to restore trust towards oneself
I have to die a little every day
I have to cry then religiously pray
I have to wish the disappointments away
I have to hope misfortunes don't find a way.

I need to feed my dimming light
I need to put on a convincing fight
I need to stand against their patriarchal might
I need to reinforce my freedom plight
I need to follow the beacon bright
I need to focus on what's right
I need to discern unnecessary fright
I need to harmonize what I write.

The silence means work has been crazy. I have missed you all. I have been reading something good to anchor my spirit in this obnoxious world. The book, Elsewhere Home by Leila Aboulela, is a collection of some amazingly crafted short stories of what love is all about. It has had me obsessing over the many ongoing wrongs that love would simply fix. From Lebanese to Afghans fighting greed to Syrians and Palestinians, fighting for a taste of peace. The world has my strength dragging at the back wondering where humanity went to.

I am still in a celebrative mood if you are looking to send the gifts now :D
