One element of event organization in a school farewell is the guest welcomers. The welcomers or receptionists are typically stationed at the entrance area of an event. They guide the guests towards the designated seating.
In a recent school farewell event, the guest welcomers consisted of students who were part of the student organization. They provided a guestbook for attendees to sign. Specifically for the graduating students who were invited guests, the committee set up a chalkboard for them. They wrote messages and impressions from their time as students in the school.
