I see you, you make me smile, xixixi....
Before continuing my silent comic project, I am now creating another digital work from my sketch - This time the Jester who is smiling shyly while holding his squeaky nose.
I do sketches using 2b pencil on A4 paper whichis then scanned for editing and coloring in photo manipulation software.
Steps
I turned the sketch into lineart - Thanks to the help of Sean's amazing tool at Itch.io
This makes it easy for me to turn pencil strokes into lineart so I don't have to make the lineart manually
Basic coloring for the skin and hat
Then details on the hat and shading on the skin
Continued to the mouth and teeth - his teeth are so disgusting, he never brushes his teeth, don't try this at home😂
Coloring the collar and applying smudge
Add background, body and outer shadow to make it look alive
