Hello everyone, lately I've been very interested in Punk art, be it poster works, flyers, covers, tees, collages and anything related to punk scene. like in this work, the keyword is Xerox art, an impression like a photocopy laser ink print that is very cool in my opinion.
I applied the cuts and paste technique to this work, half manual and half digital, first I determined the theme of "consumerism" and then thought about what symbols accompany it and are very closely related, this is my unrest and I want to convey it in this work :)
The work I titled "AuAhBoros" which means I'm fed up with wasteful things, this is an Indonesian accent. The main symbols I chose are Barcode and ouroboros with infinite motifs as a continuation with endless consumerism and snakes of course closely related to the devil. the culture of shopping for useless items in my opinion is very stupid, hehe....
Process
I really enjoy putting things together like making collages whether it's digital or manual, just like this work that I did with both. I first sketched with a pencil and then continued with inking with a drawing pen and shading with a black colored pencil :
Then after all the drawings were collected, I digitally assembled them with Paint.net and used Paint.net's built-in Ink Sketch artistic effect and this is the final result :
Sorry for not including the step by step in detail, maybe in the next work I will make more details and explore more about Paint.net.
