🇪🇸 ~ ¡Feliz NeedleworkMonday a todos, queridos artistas textiles!, hoy quiero compartir esta anécdota:

Durante las primeras semanas de diciembre en uno de esos días difíciles, me pinche la mano con las espinas de un árbol de cítricos que estaba podando, tuve una reacción alérgica y el dedo índice de mi mano dominante se inflamo muchísimo (al punto que no podía flexionarlo), y fue el peor momento para que ocurriera porque tenía un encargo de lazos gigantes para una amiga que viajaría a visitar a su ahijada en otro estado.

Y aunque tomé medicamentos y anti alérgicos, mi dedo tardo unos 3 días en volver a la normalidad. ES MUY INCÓMODO COSER ASÍ, no puedes doblar el dedo y la piel se siente muy estirada, realmente incómodo.

Pero el deber llama y las promesas hay que cumplirlas, así que lentamente por la noche cuando el ajetreo de la casa se calmaba, me puse a coser los lazos, que por cierto es un diseño nuevo que tenía mucho tiempo queriendo hacer.

De esos lazos quería extraer fotos de un nuevo tutorial, pero lo lo conseguí, estaba tan distraída por el dolor y la picazón de la mano que solo salve algunas fotos que le compartía a mi amiga del proceso via WS.

Así que hoy les comparto lo que pude salvar de esa jornada de costura lenta pero con mucha determinación, el resultado, y felizmente a la ahijada de mi amiga con su obsequio (es una niña super hermosa con una cabellera roja impresionante).

También el "super lazo" de color lila, que fue parte del atuendo de la hija de mi amiga para Navidad (〃 ^ ▽ ^ 〃)

Hoy mi mano esta mejor claro, y aprendí la lección ლ (ಠ_ಠ ლ) debo usar guantes de seguridad y por supuesto, ¡que mala idea es podar un árbol de noche!.

🇺🇸 ~ Happy Needlework Monday to all, dear textile artists!, today I want to share this anecdote with you:

During the first weeks of December, on one of those difficult days, I pricked my hand with the thorns of a citrus tree I was pruning, I had an allergic reaction and the index finger of my dominant hand became very inflamed (to the point that I couldn't flex it), and it was the worst time for it to happen because I had an order of giant bows for a friend who was traveling to visit her goddaughter in another state.

And even though I took medication and anti-allergics, it took about 3 days for my finger to get back to normal. IT IS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE SEWING LIKE THIS, you can't bend your finger and the skin feels very stretched, really uncomfortable.

But duty calls and promises must be kept, so slowly in the evening, when the bustle of the house calmed down, I started sewing the bows, which by the way is a new design that I have been wanting to do for a long time.

From these bows I wanted to extract photos of a new tutorial, but I was so distracted by the pain and itching of my hand that I only saved some photos that I shared with my friend of the process via WS.

So today I share with you what I was able to save from that day of slow but determined sewing, the result, and happily my friend's goddaughter with her gift (she is a super beautiful girl with stunning red hair).

Also the lilac "super bow" that was part of my friend's daughter's Christmas outfit (〃 ^ ▽ ^ 〃)

Today my hand is better and I have learned my lesson ლ (ಠ_ಠ ლ) I must wear safety gloves and of course what a bad idea it is to trim a tree at night!.
