Sentient debris. The Watchers. These beings float ominously high in the sky casting their gaze up creatures below seemingly at random. Once you catch a Watchers eye it will continue to follow and observe you until its unknowable mind decides otherwise.
They have been known to observe the same thing for hundreds of years so the feeling of being watched might last quite a while if you catch their attention.
The inks in this piece were all done with a brush. I then used photoshop to add the colors and stars.
