Hello, this is my first time seeing this engagement here and I think I like it.

I am someone who doesn't really like connecting with people through pixels. I often feel like people are not really who they seem online, like you can't get the whole nuance of them, no matter how hard you try. But that doesn't stop me from trying to push for genuine connection with people I know I might never meet. So far, I have only been able to make one friend who I have had conversations with on and off Hive. @Takhar

Takhar makes original lovely posts and I often wonder how his mind is able to engineer such coherent wordings. It was why I replied under some of his posts and when I stopped seeing his posts for a while, I wondered why. When he came back online, I was really glad and he offered for us to chat on Discord instead. Since it would be conducive. We have had lots of intellectual conversations and even mundane ones. Talking about lives in our different countries, love, and even nature. I think Takhar is obsessed with Astrology (moon) 😂 and meditation. He once tried to get me to meditate but I'm too hyperactive for that.

Though, recently, we haven't spoken for a while, I feel like no matter what, he will always be there for me to talk to him and I for him. Sustaining genuine connections on Hive requires mutual understanding and the efforts that you both truly want to make your friendship work. If it is one sided, it will definitely die. When trying to connect with people, you shouldn't have to look at the hive power they hold or their reputation, it only makes you look like a powermonger or someone who only sees people as items to be used. You have to see people as people and with the mindset that you want to understand them as humans, not as investments.

I am also thankful to justfavour@justfavour for bringing me on Hive. It is one favor I will never be able to forget. Also, I will like to thank agmoore@agmoore for her encouragement, comments and criticism on some of my stories during my early days here. She's one of the reasons why I think I will never stop writing. I have read a lot of lovely posts on Hive from different people with different cultures. I have felt connected with people through their words.
