And now with homestay students. My Actifit Report Card: June 10 2026
And now I have homestay students again. This time Lucas and Joseph. Overall they seem like good kids and at first glance they seem a lot easier than the other students we have had.
First reason I say that:
They actually ate dinner. Horray!
Second: They told me up front that they don't each breakfast. I'm ok with that rather than trying to force them to eat breakfast.
Side bonus: I bought giant muffins because I thought they might not eat breakfast but I wanted to have something to offer them before they go to school. Surprise. They ate them.
Added benefit? They went to bed without fuss and they didn't make a mess in the bathroom. Even better, they got up on their own horray!
Now I will admit they they are only here for respite care. Two nights only. So... No long term commitment and I actually prefer that a lot.
They even went on a full walk with the dog after school and it was a beautiful day for it.
So, where did I get all my steps? Waking the dog in the morning and the evening of course. Add in a few more because I had to work today also and there you have it.
15K steps of activity (horray, made my 5-10K goal)
The only kind of sad part is that I really don't have time to go to the gym for strength training while watching over homestay students.
But I can't have everything and overall its been good so far.
