When it comes to getting exercise today was really a nothing day.

Only 6K steps which is really pretty awful.

Still, the dog needs to walk so morning and evening I'm out there making sure that he gets a few steps in and a little exercise before eating his food. Of course he also has to do his (ahem) business along the way.

During the rest of the day?

Vibe coding.

I have a program that I started months ago and today a fellow hive member wanted to start up a little gaming tournament using that as the game to play.

I suppose since it was simple and no-one had ever played it before (except me in testing) it made a little sense. No one could be good at it and it was easy enough that anyone could play without any training.

However, the original version was pretty simple to defeat and had no sound whatsoever. In addition there was no differentiation in playstyle---three different dragon shot types and no reason to use anything other than the "flamethrower".

So... I needed to add sound, amp up the gameplay, make different shot type or/less useful in different places, and make the landscape more cohesive. That also made gameplay considerably more difficult. Before it was 60 seconds until it said game over. Now it is 3 minutes until you reach home.

Good luck making it that far though :)

Anyways, I worked on that much of the day. Vacuumed the floor, cleaned the dishes, did the laundry, tidied up the bedroom (and house in general) and generally no reason for my wife to be grumpy with me when she got home.

I did feel a little guilty for not going to the gym and forgetting my stretches...

... But I will admit I was distracted by getting the program all ready to go.

And now you know.

No pictures because I spent much of the day huddled over a computer trying to hunt down bugs (like why the heck does it rush to the left hand side of the screen and stay there).

Oh yeah, I also had to change the game in put so it would allow touchscreen use for Android devices. I tried it on my phone....hahahaha I thought it was hard on the computer. On the cellular phone it was totally impossible.

Still at least cellphone people can try to play, send a screenshot and get a portion of the 60 HIVE prize money.

It will be interesting if anyone actually plays the game or if things are just too quiet on hive right now.

A week will tell :)
