Now early today I went to church we my wife and when I got the the car I looked at my wife and thought.... I've seen this pose before.

Anyways the steps were the same as always. Walk the dog in the morning. Walk the dog again in the evening. Same path, same park, same time... But sometimes routine is a good thing.

Past that?

My son has an old motorbike. I believe it is a 1991 Honda CB1.

alt

As a dad I like it because....

It is small enough displacement at 390cc that it isn't super fast.

But..

It is a high revving for cylinder engine so it sounds really cool

alt

Notice how it redlines at 13,500rpm. How cool is that.

My son went riding it with his girlfriend and there is one other reason I like it.

The things keeps dying on him. A little sad because he has spent how trying to fix it and just spent $1100 for a repair shop to do the trip.

Unfortunately it died on the ride home from the shop.

As a dad it means my son isn't riding the motorcycle and I work every time he goes out on it

alt

As a side note he has given up on the motorcycle. Because he found something he likes more.

His Talaria.

It's got torque
.. it puts the wind in his hair
.... Plus it's really cheap to get to work.

alt

At 80kph max it isn't as fast as the motorcycle but really fast enough to get him to work.

Not importantly it doesn't need insurance, is super cheap on fuel (just electric) and lets him park in bike stalls.

Now he actually prefers the Talaria because it is just easier and less stress.

So... I'll walk places and he bikes places and I hope he sells the motorcycle because it would just make me happier if it was gone.

And that's my report for the day
