I'm not fat. I'm fluffy. My Actifit Report Card: April 14 2026
Now today my wife was supposed to take the dog to get his haircut. However, as often happens there was a nurse shortage where she works so she went in for an extra shift.
End result.
I had to take the dog for his haircut.
However, he absolutely had to go for a walk first and that was a little awkward.
You see my son had his girlfriend over the night before and he let the dog sleep in his room. Now, father code of conduct means not going into the son's room when he may have a girlfriend over.
However, I also have to walk the dog and get him to his hair appointment.
I called my son....
.... No answer.
I knocked on his door....
.....No answer.
I came back 10 minutes later....
....Knock on the door
....Still no answer.
(Ugh). So I had to open the door a little bit and try to coax the doggo out. He doesn't want to come. (Sigh) So I had to go up a flight of stairs, grab a dog treat and coax the dog out.
All this because my son didn't just kick the dog out.
Oh well, the dog got his walk... I got steps... Then after the walk I took him to get his haircut.
Now the haircut was supposed to take 3 hours. Kind of cutting it close because I dropped the dog off at 9:30am and 3 hours means 12:30pm. I have to get him home, get him fed, then get ready for work which starts at 2:00pm. 12:30 comes around and no word from the pet store. I go to pick up the dog... And I'm told another 20 minutes.
I finally pick him up at 1:20pm, rush him home, rush even faster to get ready for work. Then run out the door and make it just in time to start my shift.
It is only a four hour shift which is nice. It is good to be semi retired :) ... As for my shift? It was busy busy busy so lots of running around. Maybe that is why I got almost 11k steps today.
Well, more likely because I went on two dog walks with my fuzzy guy.
However, I will admit when you see him without hair? He looks like a much much smaller dog.
When he walked into the pet store I heard the lady saying "Oh you are such a big boy".
After the haircut?
He didn't look nearly as big.
I guess he is one of the few who can actually say "I'm not fat, I'm fuzzy, and actually have it be true :)"
If only I could get a haircut and go from fat to thin. Hahahaha.... That's never going to happen.
Still, I get my steps, got to go to work, got some errands done at home. Overall, not a bad day again.
I like being semi retired :)
But let's see what tomorrow brings ;)
